We run daily cash poker games right here in Caledon, down in the Western Cape. The tables seat up to nine players, and you’ll always find a dedicated dealer at each spot. Poker, blackjack, and roulette - these are our main table games. Our team focuses on schedules, betting limits, and smooth gaming through every shift – this is what matters most to our loyal players.

In poker, hands are made from five cards, with ten standard rankings from high card up to royal flush. Kickers are used to break ties when players hold similar combinations.

Weekends bring a bit more activity, so we sometimes raise the maximum bets to match that. Supervisors are always present, adjusting stakes and monitoring the games to ensure smooth transitions from quiet afternoons to busy evenings. Our poker tables are right in view, close to the main pit.

Hours and Layout

Monday to Thursday, our table games run from 16h00 to 23h30. If you come on Friday or Saturday, you can start at 14h30 and play well past midnight, closer to 01h30. On Sundays, tables open at 14h00 until 23h30.

Slots keep their own timetable, typically from 09h00 until 01h00 most days, and up to 03h00 on weekends. The spa pools are open to the public from 09h00 – 17h00 and hotel guests from 08h00 – 23h00. The floor splits into clear smoking and non-smoking areas, and it’s easy to spot what’s what - signage is plain. Dealers rotate efficiently, and you’ll see betting limits always posted at each table, no need to ask.

Chips can be purchased at multiple cashier locations throughout the main areas. You can exchange South African Rand in small or large denominations, including special plaques for Privé. Our cash team is here watching over, ready to help as you settle in.

Privé and High-Stakes Play

For those who prefer some quiet and higher limits, we reserve a Privé section inside the main casino. Access is set apart from the busy floor, and stakes here are a step above our regular tables. Each seat reserved through our casino managers provides increased privacy, premium service, and a wider range of bet sizes. Guests have found that having a more focused table, with a specialist dealer and private drink service, makes every game a little more personal.

Find Caledon Casino at 1 Nerina Avenue, Caledon, Western Cape, South Africa. The drive from central Cape Town typically takes between ninety minutes to two hours, depending on traffic conditions. Caledon is about 70 miles (113 kilometers) east of Cape Town, and the town was originally named Swartberg before taking on its present name.

The property has changed considerably over the decades. The area’s mineral-rich hot springs have attracted visitors since the 1700s. We’ve kept that legacy through our on-site spa, hotel, and Victorian-era therapeutic pools, now updated for today’s guests, but still honoring the roots that started centuries ago.

Since opening the current casino and resort in 2000, we have shaped Caledon into a destination that balances gaming, wellness, and leisure. The complex has been part of the Tsogo Sun portfolio, with experienced teams in every department, always working from our head office in Fourways, Johannesburg.
