Our gaming floor at Caledon has grown to be a fixture in the Western Cape. Years of hosting guests taught us what works - smoking and non-smoking areas, regularly updated machines. Slot machines kick off every morning at 09h00 and keep spinning until 01h00 Monday to Thursday and Sunday, extending to 03h00 on Friday and Saturday nights. Table games begin in the afternoon: 16h00 on weekdays, 14h30 weekends, with the night closing at either 23h30 or 01h30, depending on demand. The casino floor closes daily between 06h00 and 08h30 for maintenance.

Roulette, blackjack, various poker types - that’s the core of our table offering. American Roulette is available for those who prefer it. Those seeking higher stakes will find the Privé room inviting, with private seats and bigger limits. Hotel Rooms

There are 95 rooms in three broad categories: standard, superior, and suite. Our standard rooms come with either a twin or a double bed, private bathrooms, and air conditioning for local weather. Superior rooms bring in a little more space and better finishes, while suites are ideal if you want both privacy and a living room to relax. Many rooms offer spectacular views of Klein Swartberg Mountains and Bath River Valley.

Room service brings you food from DaVinci, Black Sheep Diner, and Blue Crane Restaurant. Just call from your room - deliveries usually take around half an hour, though it might be closer to 45 minutes if we’re busy.

Spa and Mineral Springs

Our spa experience uses Caledon’s famous natural hot mineral springs. After years of feedback, we keep our treatment rooms ready for massage, facials, wraps, or hydrotherapy as needed. Reserve your slot at the spa reception or ask at our front desk.

Spring-fed pools are set between 38 and 42 degrees Celsius. Several pools allow you to choose your comfort zone. A spa reservation or day pass covers entry. We provide lockers, changing rooms, and quiet spaces to unwind.

Treatment options span Swedish massage, deep tissue, hot stones, aromatherapy, and mineral-rich body scrubs and facials. The spa is open 09h00 to 19h00, with the last slot an hour before closing. To avoid a late-cancel fee, please let us know 24 hours in advance if you can’t make it.

Dining Options

We run three restaurants on-site. DaVinci brings classic Italian dishes, plenty of pasta, wood-fired pizza, and meat off the grill. Black Sheep Diner serves up burgers, sandwiches, and all-day breakfasts. For a refined meal, Blue Crane Restaurant rotates seasonal tasting menus with recommended local wines.

On Fridays and Saturdays, Blue Crane tends to book out, so we suggest making a reservation. At DaVinci and Black Sheep, walk-ins are almost always welcome. Let us know in advance about dietary needs - it helps our chefs get things right.

Starters typically range from R60 to R120, mains from R140 to R280, and desserts from R50 to R90. You’ll find local wines from the Western Cape on the list, with bottle prices usually between R150 and R800.

Location

You’ll find us at 1 Nerina Avenue, Caledon, 7230, Western Cape, about 90 minutes from Cape Town, approximately 110 km out. Since opening on 1 January 2000, we’ve been the Western Cape’s original licensed casino. The N2 highway runs straight here, with plenty of signage coming from both Cape Town and the Garden Route.
